ENTIRE PREMISE METER

An Entire Premise Meter is located at the point where the water main enters your property. These water meters can be installed under one of the following two programs:

Reimbursable Meter Program:

Property owners who have not installed a water meter are required by law to do so or they face a fine equal to 100% of their annual water bill. The only way to correct this situation is to have a water meter installed. The city reimburses property owners for a portion of the price of the meter installation. Ashokan's licensed plumbers and meter specialists handle the installation, permits and all paperwork for reimbursement from the city.

New Construction:

Ashokan's licensed plumbers and engineers will work with you to make sure you comply with all DEP and city regulations and to design the location of the water meters for maximum efficiency and management. Ashokan's licensed plumbers will handle the installation and our experienced expediters will file all necessary DEP permits and paperwork for reimbursement.
